London-born Angela Dee literally grew up among some of the world's most famous and iconic musicians. White Snakes is an homage and recounting of her experiences being a poor kid surrounded by fame and wealth - a rare vantage point that gave her great insight into the dark underbelly of celebrity.
She has been working in the entertainment industry for over 20 years exploring and excelling in every area from casting to producing, editing, acting, directing and shooting. She is the accomplished, creative force behind Rack & Ruin, a binge-worthy web comedy series, and now TV Pilot, that made its streaming debut to millions of viewers in 2015 on WYSKTV. In 2015 the web series was a CBS Development Award finalist and in 2016 the TV pilot won the Virgin Produced Award at SeriesFest and is in negotiations for global distribution.
As a filmmaker and content creator she has spent the last 15 years cutting documentaries, features, narrative short films, TV Pilots, comedic digital shorts, trailers and promos. In 2010 she founded WakeyWakey Media as a platform for her skills as a one-man-band producer/editor… or as they like to call it in LA, a Preditor. She has produced (holding both above and below-the-line positions) over 40 projects. In 2014 that business grew to become WakeyWakey Studio in NYC - a production, teaching and photography studio for actors. 2018 will see the launch of her LA production studio and entertainment resource hub, DeeSource.
Additionally, Angela spends part of her time “Prediting” in the law field lending her filmmaking and storytelling skills to create accompanying documentary films for plaintiffs facing wrongful death/injury lawsuits with Life Now Video- the foremost plaintiff documentary production company in America.
As a performer Angela started as a dancer and was invited to audition for the Royal Ballet twice. Since moving to the US she has had a solid career working in movies, TV, commercials, animation, and more with credits in Beauty and the Beast, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Noah, Men in Black III, Blue Bloods, Bored to Death, 30 Rock, Orange is the New Black, Coca Cola, Land Rover, Simple Skincare, and on. If you listen very closely you will occasionally hear her as a soundalike in movies for all of the Great Dames.
Angela was recently declared an “Agent of Change - [one of] 5 Inspiring Women Worthy Of Your Attention Right Now,” by the Huffington Post.
